About Da Sichuan Bistro
Chinese Restaurant specializing in Szechuan spice and cuisine. Serving the people of Palo Alto for over ten years!
Located at 3781 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA 94306, Da Sichuan Bistro operates as a szechuan serving Palo Alto in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under bistro, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ2 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (650) 849-2000. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, dasichuanrestaurant.com.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 563 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Great experience every time I visit. The flavors are bold and the value is excellent. The braised tofu was delicious and the eggplant dish was a highlight. The portions are just right and leave you full and happy.

Iβm vegan and I was excited that there were so many options for me. I loved the sautΓ©ed cabbage and their braised eggplant. It was a comfortable and homey vibe, I was able to relax and just enjoy my meal.

Longstanding Chinese restaurant, located on the busy El Camino Real street in Palo Alto. Their specialty is spicy Sichuan cuisine, and the flavors did not disappoint. Mapo tofu was decent, and the beef with peppers was very spicy. Venue is a hole-in-the-wall, but the owners are very friendly, especially if you can speak Mandarin. Large free parking lot behind the restaurant.

For the price I love the food at Da Sichuan restaurant. I think some of the negative reviews are not taking into account the price range of the food (and tempering their expectations accordingly). I like their lamb dish and enjoyed their braised egg plant. The portion size is moderate. Service is nice and parking is at the back so itβs easy to drive to
